Retail competition for start-ups launches

 The Edgware Town Centre Team is delighted to be partnering with the Save the High Street campaign on an exciting new competition, appropriately titled ‘The Edgware Startup’.  

The prize for the winning applicant is a three-month rent-free contract in a retail unit within the Broadwalk Centre, with the added bonus of end-to-end support and advice from the vastly experienced Save the High Street team. Applications are open now, so take the next step and apply as soon as possible! 

This competition is not just about a three-month tenancy though, it’s part of our long-term vision for the Town Centre as we look to foster an ongoing partnership with the successful applicant. We’re dedicated to helping local businesses thrive in Edgware both now and for decades to come, both in the Broadwalk Centre in the short term and the future Town Centre, and know that innovation and entrepreneurship lies at the heart of this. 

This is just one part of our ongoing commitment to boost local growth and opportunity. Our proposals for Edgware Town Centre include more than double the existing commercial space, adding around £80m in gross value to the local economy. We are also founding members of the Edgware Business Improvement District, helping to drive up to £800,000 of investment into the high street, alongside setting up the Edgware Town Centre Community Fund, which awarded almost £27,000 to a variety of impactful local community projects earlier this year.
